No one hurt in house fire

No one was injured Monday afternoon when a house caught fire in North Knox County, authorities said. 

The blaze was reported at 5:45 p.m. at a single family dwelling on Old Clinton Pike in the Powell community, said a spokesperson from Rural Metro Fire Department.

Firefighters reached the scene to discover smoke pouring from an attic on one side of the house. When they entered the house, they found open flames and suppressed the fire.

The occupant wasn’t home when the fire started and no injuries were reported, the spokesperson said.
